Rallis
Rallis (Pronounced : Rull- lee) are traditional quilts originating from the Indus region Of Pakistan (present day Sindh and Punjab province). Rallis are brightly coloured patterned quilts, with designs often passed down from mothers to daughters, depicting either one or two colours. Rural Sindh is famous for this patchwork of quilts and they provide an identity to the handicraft that defines the work of womenfolk of the area.
These hand made quilts are usually cotton or silk and are typically used in the cool evenings of desserts, or as presents, as well as given as part of a girls dowry. Use these Ralli’s to add that touch of colour and culture to your home, indoors or outdoors and make it a talking point for many garden parties, for the great British summer.
